From late summer 2013 through April 2014, Just Flow provided comprehensive event planning services, including coordinating efforts of a small committee and staff resources, for the 2014 Share the Music Gala, Dancing with the Stars: Broadway Musicals! This magical evening showcased the Manchester Community Music School’s Jazz Combo and Jazz Ensemble who played live music accompaniment for four local celebrity dancers who were each paired with professional dancers from Royal Palace Dance Studio and Dimensions in Dance. In addition to this main event, the Share the Music Gala also included a silent auction, live auction, Fund a Need and “Finale Bag” for fundraising, which was managed by Just Flow.
Due to the location, event planning required coordinating the logistics around hiring an external caterer, lighting and sound vendors, rental agency, and live auctioneer. In addition, we researched and recommended the Greater Giving software platform, which was licensed and implemented as part of the preparations. Our team managed the expectations and orientation of the event volunteers, which were comprised of MCMS staff. Finally, we served as the supervisory liaison for the celebrity dancers, professional dancers, judges, Jazz Ensemble conductor, and other VIPs.
At final tally, this event raised over $90,000.00 through sponsorships, tickets, silent and live auctions, Fund a Need and Finale Bags. In June 2014, Just Flow was contracted to return as the event planner for the Share the Music Gala 2015.
